Lauren Santos, originally from Guam, graduated with her B.F.A in Dance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. During her time there, she also had the opportunity to study abroad at the London Contemporary Dance School, where she was chosen to perform work by Merce Cunningham in Oxford. Following graduation, she moved to New York where she worked with company choreographers such as, Lane Gifford, Bryn Cohn & Brice Mousset. Lauren was a principle member of The Dash Ensemble, a New York based contemporary company, with Artistic Director, Gregory Dolbashian, where she performed in venues such as Summer Stage in Central Park, Jacob’s Pillow, and The Guggenheim featuring ABT’s Danil Simkin’s “Intensio” project. She also assisted or solely set the company’s repertory for companies such as ABT and LACDC as well as several universities. In addition to company work, other credits include the Latin AMAs, Reykon, Bobby Caldwell & Jack Splash “Cool Uncle”, The Get Down, The Late Show with Stephen Cobert & Que Sera Sera choreographed by Shirlene Quigley. She currently teaches and subs at several prestigious dance and fitness canters in the LA area. Her passion for dance and fitness makes her a perfect fit for the MTA design. She looks forward to working with all of our amazing talent!
