Matthew Fata’s adventurous spirit and commitment to his artistry sets him apart from many young dancers in the industry today. Growing up in a small town in Canada, Matthew ventured out all around the world to fulfill what he knew to be his fate. As a young dancer he trained in all styles of dance that include jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, lyrical and contemporary. Throughout his young dancing career Matthew was commended early on for his talent, winning numerous awards for his dancing and choreography alike.

Matthew has a lot of dance experience that includes; The University of Arizona Jazz Showcase, Los Angeles Choreographers Carnival performing with MusEffect and catastrophe!, performing alongside spoken word artist Azure Antoinette (credited by Oprah), Michelle Obamas 100th Anniversary of Burbank performance, MusEffect’s stage show "The Divine Direction", The 9th Anniversary of Toronto's Original Choreographers Ball, Reebok Industrials, the U.S Surf Open Opening Ceremony, Gina Starbuck’s “Art4Life” benefit show, Blake Whyte’s “Why” music video, Talia Favia’s stage show “The Difference Between Sinking & Drowning”, assisting Sonya Tayeh on So You Think You Can Dance, The Industry Dance Awards in Los Angeles,

performing at “The Battle Of The Paddle” sponsored by Rainbow Sandals, The Nutcracker with the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company, the APAP Showcase at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, working with AMDA the College and Conservatory of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, performing with MusEffect at DancerPalooza, opening performance for Justin Giles stage show “Love & War”, EDGE Performing Arts Center Showcase, dancing for choreographer Cat Cogliandro at the 2015 A.C.E. Awards and lastly performing at the World Choreography Awards in Los Angeles.

Matthew’s recent travels have provided him with many opportunities. He tours, teaches, choreographs and dances for Muse Dance Company as well as many studios throughout Canada and the United States and is a faculty member at Millennium Dance Complex Orange County. Matthew is also a company member of MusEffect, Royal Flux, is signed with Movement Talent Agency in Los Angeles and has judged for Velocity Dance Convention and The Knockout Dance Challenge. Matthew looks forward to all the wonderful adventures and experiences that lie ahead and is ready to conquer them with boundless energy and a determination for excellence.
